How we look after your data
Last revised in October 2026.
Here is, in ordinary words, what NIE Murcia learns about you through niemurcia.com, what happens to it and what you can ask of us. European data protection rules, the GDPR, and their Spanish counterpart frame all of it.
What lands on our desk
- The contents of our forms. Name and email are compulsory; phone, nationality, the procedure you pick and your message are up to you.
- A few technical traces that travel with any form, like your IP address and the moment you pressed send. They help us keep spam and attacks out.
- One session cookie, whose only job is to stop forged form submissions. No advertising cookie, no tracking pixel.
What we do with it
We read your message, work out your situation and help with the procedure you mentioned. Two legal grounds cover this: looking into your case is a step you requested before any contract exists, and sending the form signals your agreement. You may take that agreement back whenever you like.
Who else sees it
We read every request ourselves. Should a partner be better placed, say for a relocation or an online NIE request, your request goes to that partner, who may then get in touch. The companies that host the site and carry our email handle data for us under contract. Selling data is something we do not do.
How long we keep it, and then
For as long as we are working on your case, and afterwards only while follow-up questions or a legal duty make it necessary. Then we erase it.
What you can ask
A copy of your data, a correction, its erasure, a limit on its use, an objection, or a portable file: one email to hola@niemurcia.com is enough. If you feel we have mishandled your data, complaints go to Spain’s data protection agency, the AEPD, at aepd.es.
